My wife and I have been together for 12 years. We were married once for love and once for the law. We have a cat and TWO dogs but no little turtles. We started trying to conceive in November 2007 using frozen unknown donor sperm. After 8 cycles and many ups and downs, we had no success. Back then I was blogging on Baby Steps over at blogger.
In December 2008, we started trying with fresh known donor sperm. We call this: Operation Knock-Up tbean, Version 2.0. I decided to start fresh with a new blog and new name: Looking for a Little Turtle. I’m still tbean though. Can you guess what the t stands for? After half a dozen unsuccessful attempts with our KD, we moved on to IVF and returned to an unknown donor. That’s when things really started to get crazy.
UPDATED:
On our 17th ART cycle, my wife donated her eggs to me and we used frozen, anonymous donor sperm. We found out we were pregnant with twins in July 2010. On January 28th, 2011, our beautiful sons were born at 32.5 weeks gestation. After 3 & 4 weeks in the NICU, they came home with us and we have been living the dream ever since. Turtles: found.
